Objectives

By participating in this training, participants will understand :

The concepts and theories of law and legal system in the world, legal system in Cambodia as well as law making process in Cambodia.
Clearly understand: i). how important law and regulations in society, ii). how law is formulated, iii). how law is translated. The trainees shall be informed about the dispute settlement mechanisms in place. This session is designed to be an oriented participatory discussion.

Better understand of what is a criminal case, elements of offence, and how a criminal case is challenged. In addition, the participant shall have a clear understanding about the procedural process of a criminal litigation commencing from the writing a complaint to the end litigation.
Better understanding about : i). rights and obligations of the people in relation to “right to access to information” and “obligations of citizens and professionals “ as per defined by national and international laws; ii). the extend that certain information is subject to be or not to be released, as per existing law; and iii). challenges as per information dissemination associated with confidentiality and professional secret…etc.
Better understand what is a civil case and its procedural litigation commencing from the writing a complaint to the end litigation.
